So obviously I need to get better at my maths! I worked out on Mrs Google to do a ride from home, over the Okahukura Saddle Rd to Matiere, then to Ongarue and back down the Ongarue Back Rd. My calculation was 56 kms….turns out it was 74 kms! Lucky I have a memory foam seat, padded pants and a battery that does 120kms. It was a beautiful day out on a sealed road with interesting things to stop and see along the way, great music, a bit of poetry writing, observations and a wee ritual when I stopped for lunch.
